Greer will focus on professional organizations, major employers and more.
SAVOY, IL - The
Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) is pleased to announce
M. E. "Eddie" Greer as the new Director of Business Development effective
December 1, 2009. Greer will develop and implement strategies and concepts for
promotion of all BCSP owned and serviced certifications. His primary
duties will include developing methods to create added value with
professional organizations, major employers, industry and labor
associations and organizations, government agencies, and trade
associations at the national and international level.
His background includes developing and delivering numerous keynotes, presentations and seminars on leadership, team building, crisis management, and behavior based safety across the United States, Canada, Middle East and the United Kingdom. He has been involved in the Safety and Health Profession for over 35 years and previously served on the BCSP and the Council on Certification of Health, Environmental and Safety Technologists (CCHEST) Board of Directors.

Greer is past society president of the American Society of Safety Engineers where he is a professional member and a Society Fellow. He currently is Chair of the ASSE Foundation and a trustee for the Texas Safety Foundation. He also sits on the Executive Council of the International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner Organizations as immediate past president. He holds a BBA from LeTourneau University and an Associate in Science Degree from Paris Junior College. Eddie is a Certified Safety Professional and was honored in 1987 as the Gulf Coast Chapter Safety Professional of the Year.
